This commission is a contemporary interpretation of 16th century Persianate painting, expressed as a large-format dyptich.

The work is on colour-washed paper sprinkled with gold flecks, and executed using classic 'miniature' techniques using gouache, mineral pigments, gold and silver. The figures and animals are referenced from 16th century sources.
